it's a coupler
It works as it should.. however if the handle is not ALL THE WAY UP it has a slow leak....
I spoke to the local brew shop and they say that's not a big deal. Keg Lube should fix that right up....
as it is into the keg.. so its not really a leak.. :) I like it!
Awesome
Works like a charm!! Very easy to install beer lines, CO2 lines and to keg. Does what is expected to do.
Can't Stop the Leak
I wish I could give this coupler more stars because it seems decent - sturdy, rugged build on the exterior that looks nearly identical to my fully functional Perlick - but after trying to get it to work right for the past week, I've had no success. I'm really giving this two stars instead of one since it isn't completely nonfunctional. Heed the warnings about the CO2 leaks. I've used a RIDICULOUS amount of keg lube trying to seal this coupler on 2 different tanks and have had no success. When the lever handle dropped and locked, there is still some downward play, which means that it's not fully engaged. This prevents the gaskets from coming into contact with the tank, leading to (thankfully just) a CO2 leak. Additionally, the ball stop keeps getting stuck so it won't dispense beer. The coupler needs to be removed from the tank to "unstick" it, which only exacerbates the leaking issue since I have to try to reseal it every time. I have resigned myself to only tapping the keg...
