Beautiful flatware
I ordered this pattern from a distributor and couldn't be more pleased. It is excellently balanced, detailed like fine silver, and has a rich weight that just feels good in your hand. I am back to get more settings because this can clearly replace silver on an elegant table without all the effort.
Unfortunately Ricci has not backed up their gaurantee
This Angela pattern of flatware is beautiful as expected and the pieces are a nice weight and size. The REAL PROBLEM is that Ricci unconditionally warrants that if any pieces are defective they will be replaced. Two of the larger place setting spoons in this set had factory flaws on the edge of the spoon bowl, nicks large enough that a person could hurt their mouth using the spoons (so much for the "careful inspection" they claim to have). I returned the two defective spoons to Ricci exactly as specified in the package instructions and have USPS delivery receipt, but... no response what so ever from Ricci, and no phone number to try to talk to a person to get help. It turns out the address given in the instructions for returning pieces is only a warehouse, so I have no one else to contact. After 4 months I'm not holding my breath. So, if you purchase this 45-piece set, keep in mind that you may not end up with a full set, and evidently Ricci doesn't stand behind their...
Sending them back.
The spoons are sharp. I had high expectations at this price. I am returning them for a refund and will have to try another brand.
Edit: to be more explanatory, I did not use the flatwear. I opened the box and took a look at the spoons, determined they felt sharp and even had some nicks in the edges, then boxed them back up.
I have since purchased the pearl set from liberty tabletop, which I am keeping.
